  Want to make cleaning fun for your kids? Have them slip on some fuzzy socks to help you mop the floor after you spray your cleaner on. Have fun!


  Looking for the best laminate floor cleaner? Mix your dish soap, white distilled vinegar and water in a spray battle and you’re good to go.


 Shine your floors naturally with your regular mop and black tea! All you need to do is make a sink full of hot tea and mop your floors with your tea solution while it is still warm.


  Exerting too much effort cleaning your grout lines? A mixture of shaving cream and lemon juice is a great way to clean grout between floor tiles. Spray it on, let it soak for a few minutes, and then scrub it with an old toothbrush.


  Brighten dirty tile floors with hydrogen peroxide. Mix  half a bottle of peroxide to one gallon of HOT water for best result. By the way, it is safe and non-toxic!


  Shine your vinyl floors with baby oils. Simply add couple of drops to an apple cider vinegar and water solutions (one cup of vinegar to a gallon of hot water)


  Got gum stuck on your hard-surface floor? Freeze it with an ice cube, then use a plastic scraper or old plastic card to gently chip away at the gum. The same method also works to remove glue or adhesive.


  Use toothpaste for more than just cleaning your teeth: a dab of white toothpaste can buff scuffs out of linoleum tiles or parquet floors.


  For stubborn scuffs or black heel marks on vinyl floors, try putting some WD-40 lubricant or jojoba oil on a towel and rubbing the area until the scuffs disappear. Clean thoroughly with a vinegar and water solution to remove any extra oil.
