A clean office pantry makes the employees healthier, hygienically sound, and productive as it prevents the spread of diseases, germs, and dullness. The pantry should be washed out to a tea level at least once a week or, at any rate, not more than once a month. Below is a list of tasks to do when cleaning the office pantry.

Empty the Pantry

The first step in cleaning it is emptying the pantry and clearing out all its contents.

This includes:

– Packaged/canned food items

– Dishes and utensils

– Devices such as the microwave, the coffee machine, toaster, etc.

– Shelves, cupboards, drawers, cabinets, pots and pans holder, food processor, refrigerator, microwave oven, toaster, can opener, utensils holder, pot and pan holder, kitchen or pantry organizers and bins.

Wipe Down Surfaces

Next, wipe down all the surfaces – shelves, drawers, countertops, etc.

You will need:

– Cleaning solution effective for a wide variety of surfaces

– Paper towels

– Disinfecting wipes

Use the all-purpose cleaner to wet a paper towel, and then wipe all the areas spoiled by dirt or other stains. It is essential to devote most of your efforts to cleaning handles, knobs, and other corners that get dirty quickly.

It is recommended to use disinfecting wipes on frequently touched items such as handles on faucets, the buttons of the appliances, door knobs, handles of the drawers, etc, to get rid of germs and cut down the chances of spread of diseases.

Clean Inside Microwave

The microwave should be cleaned inside out, and disassembled in case of difficult to remove stains.

To do this:

– Take out objects such as turntables, racks, etc.

– In a bowl that is microwave-safe, pour warm water and some bath soap.

– Place the bowl into the microwave for 2-3 minutes.

– Slowly and gently lift the hot bowl (use gloves).

– Wash the inner walls and other parts inside the fridge using a soft sponge.

– Don’t forget under the microwave and the door when cleaning.

This steam helps to remove tough deposits of food particles on utensils. With any burnt-on food, use a plastic spatula and try to scrape gently. Do not use corrosive substances within the microwave since this may bring about the formation of dangerous fumes.

Wash Dishes and Utensils

The plates, spoons, and other utensils used in the pantry should be cleaned meticulously. This makes it impossible for bacteria to accumulate over time and this might lead to the development of diseases.

– Look at all cups, mugs, plates, bowls, cutleries, appliances, and all other objects used in a kitchen.

– This product should also be washed in hot, soapy water

Cleaning food debris using a brush if it is stuck on the surface.

– Rinse and then expect the item to dry on its own.

Also, check all surfaces and leave no stone unturned and any item with cracks, chips, or any signs of damage, then discard. Broken items have germs since the fractured parts are hard to clean thoroughly.
